Press About Yoland Ward
Yolanda Ward
After more than 35 years of climbing the ladder in corporate America, Yolanda Ward was laid off during the financial crisis in 2009, and had to begin her career again. After losing most of her finances in the layoff, Yolanda sacrificed everything she had left – her savings, 401K and her retirement – to pursue her new career as an artist. Eight years and a lot of hard work later, things have started to turn around. Yolanda has had several exhibitions, recently had an article written about her work in the Chestnut Hill Local, and her artwork is represented by EandS Gallery in Louisville Kentucky.
Yolanda’s chosen artistic medium is paper collage. She creates larger than life images which look like oil paintings from a distance, but are actually made entirely out of paper. Yolanda’s work can be seen at the EandS Gallery, and prints can be purchased on her website. Her work will also be at the Harlem Fine Arts Show in New York February 16th — February 19th with EandS Gallery, and she will be showing at Rydal Park in Jenkintown PA March 4th — April 30th.
Yolanda attributes her success to all the people who have encouraged and supported her throughout her journey.
